Yasushi Fujihira;s Tea Bowl is a hand built form, a well known signature of his works. The form is a close ‘V’ shape, and the base of the form, narrow and tapering towards the foot. The color of the glaze is unassuming. The purple glaze drips and drags the color along with it. The additions of frit along the outside of the form create white spots that control the flow of the glaze. The inside of the form is smooth and without the addition of frit, the surface is consistent and the color is opaque.
