Daisuke Nakano’s Monkey has a contained composition. All of the monkeys featured in the painting are relatively still in form yet their facial expressions contain emotion. The fur of the monkeys are imitated by the feathering of the brush-strokes being used. In the foreground, the money cradles a baby, centering the composition on this gentle moment, the painting reflects the miracle of life.
