Striking lines, curves, and circles give the composition an industrial quality, like the gears of a clock. Organic fields of blue spread across these mechanical elements like slow-growing lichen, holding the scene in place. Like the title Tamayura, or “fleeting moment,” the image seems to suggest both the pausing of time and its slow passing.
