This Hiyama Bizen Tea Bowl is more traditional compared to the other, more contemporary forms. The tea bowl is thrown as a cylinder and the natural Anagama firing collides onto the surface of the form and creates a complex composition. The metallic spots of the surface catch the light while the matt, purely textured surfaces soften it. The iron red of the clay is brought out during its firing and the tea bowl feels warm.
