Yasushi Fujihira’s TeaBowl feels like an homage to his father, Shin Fujihira. Shin Fujihira was famously known for his use of cinnabar glazes, creating beautiful candy-colored landscapes on his tea bowl surfaces and whimsical animal sculptures. Here, Yasushi Fujihira uses the same cinnabar glazes as his father. These purples, reds, and blues create a fairy tale like waterfall alongside the form of the bowl.
