New Winds in Japanese Art & Design
Presenting at Design Miami for the third consecutive year, Ippodo Gallery introduces new interpretations and explorations of tradition which stir the air of Japanese contemporary design. 17 living artists working in natural materials, ceramic, lacquer, glass, photography, paint, wood, and works on paper reimagine their mediums as objects of beautiful function, emphasizing the essence of nature. Revolving around the touch of the artist’s hand, these contemporary names creatively shift the boundaries of what natural mediums and traditional techniques can accomplish.
